Always remember: confidence is the sexiest trait any woman can possess. Whatever your size, if you sport it like you own it, you will!
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
Every brand of intimate apparel may run a little differently in size. Many European brands in particular may run small. So, don't take it personally! And remember, you can exchange any item for one of equal or greater value and pay no additional shipping.
Bras:
Over time, a bra will stretch slightly with wear. That's why they come with multiple hooks; so that you can tighten them up and maintain the original fit for a longer life. So don't start on the last hook, or you'll have no where to go from there.
A strapless bra needs to be tighter on your rib cage in order for it to remain in place. If this bothers you, try the NuBra; works great, and no band squeezing your rib cage.
If one breast is a slightly different shape or size than the other, buy for the larger side to avoid spillage, padding the other side as needed. You can use you're old swimsuit pad, or find a new one in our accessories section.
When choosing how to measure for a bra, there are two schools of thought, therefore I recommend measuring the way the designer specifcys is the proper way to measure for your bra size, you will have better luck ordering the correct size in that brand. No two brands size standards are exactly the same. You can find your specific designers bra measuring guide, under our size chart by designer section.
Panties:
Selecting your panty size isn't just about pant size, it is also about your height. If you are a taller girl there is a good chance you will need to go up a size, in order to have enough length in the rise of the panty. Please make sure to read through our product descriptions to get customized advice on each product.
Taller girls should be aware that low-rise styles may give less coverage than you expected.
No matter what your size, a low-rise style will make you appear "hippier" since the top of the panty cuts across a wider area of your body.
Teddies:
Choosing a teddy is like buying a one-piece swimsuit. The biggest factor in fit is the combination of your height and weight, not dress size alone.
Babydolls:
Use your dress size to determine the best fit for a babydoll.
Garters & Stockings:
Garter belts can be a challenge for petite girls; they tend to bunch up on a smaller frame. Stockings with an elastic band that stay up without a belt are a great alternative.
Garter belts really flatter girls with longer torsos. Especially if you are not curvy, the sections of a three-piece outfit (bra, garter belt, panty) will break up your vertical lines, and create the illusion of curves.
Stockings are more about the height, rather than the thickness of your legs. Err on the higher side, as this will be more flattering than a short stocking that cuts into the meaty part of your thigh, and may not attach to your garter belt.
Garter belts are meant to be worn at the waist. So, think about your body type when choosing your size, as you may have a smaller garter belt size than panty size.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT STYLE
As you would with any blouse, dress, or swimsuit, choose a color that is flattering to your skin tone.
If you are heavier in one section than another, think about going with two tones. Wearing the darker color in the heavier region will help balance your frame.
Prints, even on sheer items, can act as an effective camouflage for bumps or bulges.
Long gowns look great on taller girls, but can make a petite frame disappear. Shorter girls should consider a 3/4 length.
Long sheer gowns are easier to wear than short sheer gowns. You will feel more covered, and look just as sexy.
Consider a style with side slits if you want to create the appearance of longer legs.
Robes are a fantastic solution for covering a back side. Still sexy, and yet they can make you feel more confident.
Empire waist lines will hide a fuller mid section.
Nude is the only color bra that will truly hide under a white shirt.
If you are a nipply girl, always wear at least a lined bra. If you don't, you will end up with chaffing, as well as unwanted attention.
For woman with an A cup or smaller, camisoles with cups are a nice alternative to bras.
A strapless bra needs to be tighter on your rib cage in order for it to remain in place. If this bothers you, try the NuBra; works great, and no band squeezing your rib cage.
Boyshorts are sexy, and a great alternative to thongs if your bottom is not as smooth or shapely as you would like. The cut of a good boyshort can make your bottom look shapelier. If you already have a nice bottom, these will only enhance it.
Boyshorts are for jeans, not dresses. This is what thongs were invented for, no panty line.
