Avec L’amour was founded in 2008. Avec L’amour was founded by one woman’s love for lingerie, and overcoming women’s body issues to make women feel special, and beautiful for who they are; regardless of age, body type, or weight.
L.Michelle founded the company, after over 10 years in working in the intimate apparel, and apparel industry. L.Michelle’s training began in a specialty lingerie boutique, where she learned about designers, brands, body types, fits, body issues, and how to make women feel luxurious. She immediately fell in love with the idea of dedicating her life to helping other women learn what she had learned; every woman can look fantastic, and feel great about herself, with a little guidance.
L.Michelle set out to create an intimate apparel boutique on-line, with the discerning eye of a specialty store; carrying only the best brands that had been tested for consistent quality, and could be sold at a fair price. She will only carry merchandise that she could put her name behind.
L.Michelle wanted to ensure that women could peruse the hand selected merchandise with comfort and ease; and have a helping hand at knowing whether what items would be correct for them.
Each product has a recommendation, as to what wardrobe solution that particular piece will solve, and or for whom the product would fit best. The idea is to ensure that when purchasing your merchandise it will be what is best suited for your body type. All designers design differently, and with a different target audience in mind.
Designer apparel is art, and designers take that freedom literally to interrupt their designs any way they wish. No designer has the same size standard for a size 6. Therefore, it would be impossible to know what size to purchase, and how it will fit without a little help. No one wants to purchase something that is too small it makes you feel self-conscious.
