Lipstick is my new obsession. I never realized it before this year, but lipstick color changes as the fashion trends change, and you have to stay on top of it. Three big colors actresses like Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, and Gwen Stefani have been spotted wearing are pink coral, fuchsia, and traditional red. These are all such great colors that flatter all skin tones. When I first saw theses colors in magazines, I was instantly in love and had to go buy them. I was afraid that they would maybe clash with my clothing, but I soon realized they went with most everything.

Selena Gomez Pink Coral Lipstick

Pink coral lipstick is a great choice if you’re looking to replace nude lipstick or light pink lipstick. It is really sophisticated and natural, which is what drew me to it in the first place. If you are meeting your significant other’s parents this holiday, pink coral is a great color to wear on your lips. It is still a little pop of color without being overwhelming. It will definitely give you the appearance of an innocent, nice girl, which is what all parents are looking for in their child’s mate. Pair it with a brown smokey eye and you will look great!

Kim Kardashian Fuchsia Lipstick

Kim Kardashian wearing fuchsia lipstick.

Fuchsia lipstick sounds really scary, but it is definitely my new favorite color. As with all dark lipsticks, it is really good to also purchase a liner. You don’t want it smearing, or giving you sloppy lip lines. I am planning on sporting this fabulous color on New Years Eve with a little black dress, while I’m All About Town. I love that I can have really natural make up on my eyes, or I can smoke them out and fuchsia lipstick still looks good. Fashionistas like Kim Kardashian and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian were recently photographed for magazines in this color, proving that it is hot, hot, hot!

Gwen Stefani in Deep Red Lipstick

Traditional red is always a great color because it looks great on all women, and is really festive for this time of year. However, you definitely need to pick a shade of red that will compliment your skin tone instead of washing you out. I have found for myself, that a deep, almost rusty, red looks best. Unlike the bright red, it is more versatile and classy. I will definitely be wearing this to my friends and work parties this winter. The only thing to remember about your red lipsticks, is not to pair it with red clothing. Most of the time, the two reds don’t match, and it just looks weird.

Lipsticks can also set the mood for romantic nights. Your lingerie can always be dressed up or down depending on your make up. If you are going to wear a pink coral on your lips, pair it with the Arianne Penelope Long Lace Chemise for a really romantic look. Fuchsia, to me, says fierce, so pair it with something sexy like the Cosabella Irina Babydoll and G-String set. Red says romantic, so pair it with a seductive chemise like the Natori Floral Chemise.

Hope you find a color that suits you, and you fall in love with, just like I have!

Love,

C. Lizbeth
