What to wear for comfort in the fall…Pajamas
Fall is finally upon us, so I dedicated this past weekend to cleaning out my summer clothes, and replacing them with sweaters, pants, and long sleeve shirts. I sorted through bin after bin until I finally found the one that contained my most exciting apparel for fall—my loungewear. I then proceeded to replace all my little chemises and tank tops with matching pajama sets and nightgowns in my pajama drawer. After a long, hot summer of trying to wear as little as possible, I can finally come home after a long day, crawl into a comfortable outfit, and unwind.
Like most families, mine is notorious for giving pajama sets as presents around the holiday season. I too can admit to giving a pair of yoga pants, a pajama set, or nightgown as a gift since they are such easy, safe gifts for everyone. However, as much as I love loungewear, flannel is my worst nightmare. It doesn’t matter how many times I tell my grandma not to buy me flannel pajamas for Christmas, she still asks me every year if I need a new pair. Not only does my grandma believe that you need to wear flannel in the winter, she also believes that you have to put flannel sheets on your bed. Flannel on flannel is a terrible combination, especially when you detest the feel of it.
So this year, I have instructed her to look over some of the designers that make amazingly comfortable loungewear and are still conservative enough to be grandma approved. Natori, Bleu Claire by Claire Pettibone, and B*Up are at the top of my list for bringing chic styles and comfort together in all of their loungewear. I love the versatility of designer loungewear because it makes it such a smart purchase. When I am spending a large amount of money, I often have to talk myself into the purchase. But with designer loungewear, it’s a no brainer because I can wear the loungepants to the gym, or a yoga class, and they don’t look like pajamas.
Bleu Claire by Claire Pettibone is my favorite for wearing to yoga because all of the designs are really unique and bold, but in a sophisticated, stylish sense. None of the loungewear sets have age limits on them either, which is so important and awesome because I, as a 20 year old, can look just as comfortable and trendy in a Bleu Claire set as my mom does in hers. Bleu Claire designer loungewear is an awesome gift, and I can only hope that my grandma listens to me this year and stays far, far away from the flannel pajamas!
What will be on your holiday wish list this year? Will you be sending your family members a wishlist of beautiful designer loungewear in order to avoid the horrors of the flannel pj set? Create a wishlist on Avec L’amour for all of your holiday desires and then email it to your family complete with sizes, to make sure you get a gift you can love!
Love,
C. Lizbeth
